Analyze a campaign

Analyze is the last step of a marketing email. It is available only after the email has sent. Until then the step is greyed out, and opening its address takes you back to Edit.

The top of the page reads Sent with the date and the number of contacts. Export CSV downloads the results. Switch between Performance and Recipients below it.

Metric What it measures
Delivered Emails the receiving server accepted, and that number as a share of emails sent.
Open rate Contacts who opened the email, as a share of delivered. Shows unique and total opens.
Click rate Contacts who clicked a link, as a share of delivered. Shows unique and total clicks.
Click-through rate Contacts who clicked, as a share of contacts who opened.
Bounced Emails that couldn’t be delivered, and their share of emails sent.
Unsubscribed Contacts who used the unsubscribe link, and their share of emails sent.
Spam reports Contacts who marked the email as spam, and their share of emails sent.

A rate shows — when it can’t be measured yet, for example when nothing was delivered. A rate of 0.0% means it was measured and is zero.

  • Opens & clicks: a chart of opens and clicks for each day. It shows No engagement recorded yet. until the first open.
  • Top clicked links: the links people clicked, with total and unique clicks. Click Show all to see every link.
  • Deliverability: Delivered, Bounced, Unsubscribed and Marked as spam.
  • Opens by email client: which mail apps opened the email.

Use this view to see what each contact did.

  1. Pick a status on the left: Sent, Delivered, Opened, Clicked, Bounced, Unsubscribed, Spam reports, Not sent or Failed.
  2. Search by email address to find one contact.
  3. Read the Recipient, Action and Date columns. A contact marked Opened by an image proxy only didn’t open the email themselves.
  4. Click a row to expand it. You see that contact’s events from oldest to newest, with the reason for a bounce.

Not sent lists contacts who were left out when the send began, such as people who opted out. Failed also includes emails whose delivery outcome Nuvioo couldn’t confirm.

Export CSV downloads one file named after the email. It contains three sections: the totals and rates, the clicked links with unique and total clicks, and opens and clicks for each day. It has no row for each recipient. Use the Recipients view for that.

To act on these results, see Contacts.
