Inventory overview
Inventory tracks the materials your business uses and sells: nail polish, oils, cotton pads, retail products. It records stock across one or more warehouses. Every time stock comes in, moves between warehouses, or is lost, Inventory records a transaction and updates the stock levels.
Open Inventory from the sidebar of your Nuvioo portal at https://<your-business>.nuvioo.app/inventory.
Key terms

| Material | Anything you keep stock of. Each material has a SKU, a cost per unit, a purchase unit, and an optional warning stock level. |
| Unit | How a material is counted, for example bottle, pack, or piece. Common units are created for you. |
| Vendor | A supplier you buy materials from. |
| Warehouse | A place where stock is kept. If you use Nuvioo POS, you can add each POS location as a warehouse with Sync shop. |
| Request inbound | A request to move stock that goes through approval: Requested, then Approved or Rejected, then Confirmed. |
| In/Out transaction | A stock movement recorded directly, without approval. |
| Inventory audit | A stock count. When you balance an audit, Inventory adjusts stock to match what you counted. |
